The Back of the Pack Walkers ~ Marching out Breast Cancer
Hi everyone! We are the Back of the Pack Walkers ~ otherwise known as Candi, Katie, and Lauren. *smile & wave*
Lauren and Candi met while training for, and participating in the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day (play around in this site to find pictures of the DC 3-Day) and became fast friends. Candi met up with Katie in the summmer of 2002. After realizing that we all had our own personal ties to this cause, we decided to form a team of three to walk in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
We've got a lot of work cut out for us before the Walks begin. In order to participate in the 2-day, 39 mile Walk for Breast Cancer, we must each raise $1700. All three of us plan on walking in the Washington, DC event. And Candi and Lauren plan on walking in two other cities (we haven't decided which two yet... you decide. Leave us a message in the guest book and tell us where we should go). So you can see that we've got a lot of money to raise. Our team goal is $20,000. We're sure that we can raise that ~ but we'd love to beat that.
